“Donald introduced us to the points system where you need to win with 3 points minimum. We tended to interrupt and ask a lot of questions and Donald always handled that extremely well and provided insightful answers. By the end of the lessons, we were comfortable with the strategies needed to play 3 points minimum and all of us just can’t wait to play more. We think Donald is the best teacher!”

“Donald taught us Hong Kong style mahjong in a fun, approachable, and engaging way. He broke down all the complex rules into simple steps and even came with a 2-page reference guide to help us remember the rules afterwards. He was delighted to share his passion for mahjong with us and me, my husband, and my friends all love the game now!”

“I played mahjong many years ago but forgot most of the rules and strategies and Donald’s coaching brought it all back to life for me. Donald was very friendly and engaging towards me and my coworkers and taught well at a large table that ranged from coworkers who have never heard of mahjong before to people like me picking the game back up.”

“Donald opened my eyes to Hong Kong mahjong as someone who have only played American mahjong before. He did a terrific job at explaining the similarities and differences between the two styles as well as the history behind Chinese mahjong. As an author working on a book about mahjong in the Jewish community, we had some engaging conversations afterwards and I’d love to host a Hong Kong mahjong event with him soon!”
